Call For Demolition To Receive WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

During the 1980s and 1990s of the WWE, Demolition was one of the top tag means in that company. They held the tag titles three times and were the longest tag champions before The New Day broke the record. Now there is a call for them to be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

On his Kilq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash told co-host Sean Oliver that he wonders why the team is not in the Hall of Fame. Nash also puts them over as tough competitors because they are from Minnesota.

“They were all tough,”

“Even like a guy like Barry Darsow, just a sweetheart of a guy. Would hook your eye in a heartbeat. I mean, how is Demolition not in the Hall of Fame?”

There have been rumors that Vince McMahon wouldn’t put Demolition in the WWE Hall Of Fame because the team was named as part of a class action lawsuit against WWE that wrestlers incurred traumatic brain injuries during their time in the company. The New Day breaking their record of longest-reigning tag team champions was also interesting timing. That lawsuit was later dismissed by US District Judge Vanessa Lynne Bryant in September 2018.

Now, with Vince McMahon gone and with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in charge of WWE, maybe the induction could happen. Only time will tell what way Triple H goes about this sort of thing.
