ONE-Thousand-Pound Sisters star Tammy Slaton has transformed her lifestyle and made major health improvements but is still 'too large' to fly in a plane, a source has exclusively shared with The U.S. Sun.
Tammy, 37, has shed 269 pounds over the past two years, but still wasn't able to ride "comfortably" in a plane on her recent trip to Atlanta, Georgia, a source said.
The insider said Tammy "could fly in an airplane" but that she "would most likely not be comfortable."
Tammy decided to ride in the passenger seat of a car instead of the plane ride and take an approximately six-hour long road trip to get to Atlanta from her hometown of Sturgis, Kentucky.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters stars were shooting a campaign for Season 5 at the TLC show's production studios.
Tammy and her younger sister Amy, 35, headed to Atlanta on October 9 after a packed week of shooting content for the upcoming season in Kentucky.

'KICK THE HABIT!'
While in Atlanta, Amy was spotted smoking and vaping at the same time outside of their hotel.
In the exclusive new photos obtained by The U.S. Sun, Amy stepped outside of her hotel to take a quick smoke break.
Tammy posted a TikTok of Amy's two boys Gage, 2, and Glenn, 1, giggling and spinning around in roller chairs earlier that same morning on Tuesday, October 10.

A source claimed the video was taken from the hotel in Atlanta, which would confirm Amy brought her two children along with her on the work trip.
Amy appeared to leave her two boys behind as she stepped out to indulge in a cigarette.
She was wearing comfortable sweats and smoked a cigarette in one hand as she took drags from a vape in another.
According to the eyewitness, after about five minutes, she headed back inside the hotel.
SLATON'S SLIMDOWN
Although Tammy isn't quite ready to fly on a plane to travel, she has completely turned her life around as The U.S. Sun previously revealed her true weight as of August 4, 2023.
According to court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Tammy weighs 448 pounds.
The TLC star had to give the court her personal information - including her height and weight - in light of her ongoing court trial.
Tammy was busted back in August for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
She previously weighed 717 pounds and has shredded 269 pounds with the help of a gastric bypass surgery the reality star underwent in 2022.
BUSTED!
Last week, The U.S. Sun reported Tammy was charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession in Kentucky.
Radar Online reported Tammy was riding in a car that was pulled over for speeding.
The police report said the officer could “smell marijuana coming from the vehicle when” he made contact with the driver.
Tammy was reportedly the passenger in the vehicle and “admitted to having marijuana in her purse.”
The report said: “In her purse was a glass jar containing approximately an ounce or more of marijuana."
According to court documents, as long as Tammy stays out of trouble for six months, the charges with be dismissed because she completed a Marijuana Education Program.
The U.S. Sun first reported that Tammy was charged on August 7 and ordered to appear in court on August 31 for her arraignment.
Her pre-trial conference was scheduled for October 5, but it was optional for Tammy to attend.
According to the Kentucky Commonwealth site, a pre-trial conference determines if the defense and prosecution have come to an agreement on a guilty plea.
Tammy was busted for marijuana possession just five days after her late husband Caleb Willingham's funeral.
SLIMMEST SISTER
Other than Tammy's legal troubles, her focus has continued to be on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Fans of 1000-Lb. Sisters have wondered if the TLC star's impressive progress means she is close to weighing less than Amy.

Back in September, an insider close to Tammy cleared up the speculation and told The U.S. Sun: "Tammy weighs only 30 pounds more than Amy right now."
The source claimed: "It's hard for Amy to focus on herself as she's taking care of the two kids."
